Property | Tensile Strength | Yield Strength (0.2%) | Elongation | Impact Value |
---|---|---|---|---|
Minimum Values | 75,000 psi (515 MPa) | 55,000 psi (380 MPa) | 30% | -20°C (-4°F) |
Features and Benefits:
- Rutile-cellulose coated electrode with excellent slag detachability.
- Stabilized chemistry for improved corrosion resistance.
- Suitable for both AC and DC welding currents.
- Easy to use, suitable for all-position welding.
- Provides a smooth and stable arc, resulting in clean welds.
- Offers good mechanical properties and impact resistance.
Storage and Handling:
Store electrodes in a dry environment at temperatures between 50°F and 100°F (10°C to 38°C). Avoid exposure to moisture, high humidity, and extreme temperature fluctuations. Re-dry electrodes at 300°F (150°C) for 1 hour if exposed to excessive moisture.
Note: Other elements may include sulfur (S), phosphorus (P), and copper (Cu), which are typically kept to low levels for improved weld quality.
