ERTi-2 MIG Wire & TIG Rods
Product data sheet / Overview: ERTi-2 MIG Wire & TIG Rods
ERTi-2 Titanium Welding Wire is an alloyed titanium wire containing small amounts of other elements like iron, oxygen, and carbon, offering higher strength compared to commercially pure titanium (ERTi-1). It is primarily used for welding titanium alloys in environments requiring improved strength, resistance to corrosion, and durability. ERTi-2 is commonly used in aerospace, marine, and chemical processing industries where higher mechanical properties are needed, along with excellent corrosion resistance.

Applications
ERTi-2 Titanium Welding Wire is ideal for welding:
- Titanium alloys (Grade 2 and alloys with similar characteristics)
- Aerospace components and aircraft parts
- Marine environments such as ships, offshore platforms, and subsea applications
- Chemical processing equipment including reactors, vessels, and piping
- Heat exchangers, pressure vessels, and boilers
- Food processing equipment where corrosion resistance is critical
- Medical devices and implants (due to its biocompatibility and strength)
Storage and Handling
- Storage: Store the titanium welding wire in a dry, clean environment, away from moisture, chemicals, and sources of contamination. Ensure that the wire is kept in its original sealed packaging until ready for use to prevent oxidation or corrosion.
- Handling: Always handle with clean gloves to avoid contamination of the wire surface. Ensure that the wire remains free from oils, grease, and other foreign substances, as these can negatively impact the quality of the weld. Prior to welding, make sure the workpiece is clean and free from contaminants.
